The Flu Cure

I hate it when I get sick. Being sick is never welcome in my life. Luckily, about a year ago, I found out about a promising cure that could stop any flu/cold in its tracks. Best of all, the cure does not involve using any type of drug. The cure is quite simple: Vitamin C. However, a strict protocol must be followed in order for it to work. In this article, I will explain how I have had success with this method as well as explain how to stop a cold/flu in its tracks.

It took me three times to get the method perfectly right. The first time I tried this method, my fever was already wreaking havoc. I was very sick, horrible cough, my face felt like a furnace, tears would burn into my eyes... My fever kept getting worse. After two horrible nights of strong fever, I decided to try the method (lets call it the Flu Cure). It was already night, but I started to take the vitamin according to the Flu Cure method I will describe later. That night, my fever lowered (by about half a degree) and I slept more restfully. In the morning, I felt more functional and relatively well. My fever was greatly lowered  by the end of the day. However, I still had minor residual symptoms for a whole week. I decided that next time, I would start taking Vitamin C as soon as I got sick.

A few months later, my brother and I started to get sick. However, I ignored my symptoms at first. The next day my symptoms (sore throat, stuffy nose, etc.) had worsened and I realized my mistake. I immediately started the Flu Cure method and hoped for the best. That week, my brother's symptoms escalated to a full blown fever (he didn't take any Vitamin C). As for me, my symptoms didn't evolve, rather they stayed put when I started to take the Vitamin C, and slowly reduced from that point on.

The third time, I was prepared. My brother came home sick one day after a sleepover at a friend's house. That day, I had been out volunteering at a State Park. When I came back home, my brother was with a very strong fever in bed. He had some tough symptoms such as vomit and a horrible cough. He would not leave his bed for anything except to use the bathroom. He persisted in a similar state for about four days. That week, my bed was situated right next to his since we were rearranging our house. It was inevitable for me to get sick. A few days later I started to notice that I had a slight sore throat; I immediately started the Flu Cure method. That night, I had some stuffiness in my nose, but the next day I was perfectly fine. No symptoms. On the other hand, my dad, who started out with my same symptoms, didn't follow the method, and ended up as sick as my brother.

Now lets get to the most important part: the actual Flu Cure. For the cure to work, you must start taking Vitamin C the moment you get your first symptoms (runny nose, sore throat...). If you miss this window of opportunity, then you will not be able to stop the virus entirely, but you can still reduce it's severity. You must take 8,000 mg of vitamin C every 20 minutes until bowel tolerance. This may take 2-6 hours depending on the severity of the cold/flu. The stronger the virus is, the more Vitamin C you will have to take over time until you reach bowel tolerance.

Just in case you're wondering, bowel tolerance is when your stool (or poop or whatever you want to call it) gets "loose" (like if you took a laxative), or in some cases it may be as loose as diarrhea. Don't worry though since the diarrhea is benign and does not hurt at all. When the diarrhea is caused by an infection on the other hand, you can usually tell since it feels discomforting or painful.

Once you reach bowel tolerance, you start taking 4,000 mg every 4-6 hours. Do this for 10 days to keep the flu/cold at bay.  You don't have to wake up at night to take your dose, but if you do wake up (to use the bathroom or have a midnight snack) then make sure you take your dose. If you don't wake up at night, then take your dose first thing in the morning.

Now this is a lot of Vitamin C to take. A mainstream doctor would probably discourage you from trying this, but an orthomolecular doctor would probably prescribe it. Don't worry about overdose, it's not going to happen. Vitamin C is excreted when you take too much, and most of the time you're taking too little. It doesn't accumulate in the body like other vitamins/minerals.

I currently use a form of Vitamin C called Calcium Ascorbate. Calcium Ascorbate is not pure Vitamin C, rather it is Ascorbic Acid (pure Vitamin C) combined with Calcium. Although Calcium Ascorbate has a taste that is not very agreeable, it's just a bitter minor aftertaste. Pure Vitamin C has a sour, tangy taste instead. This is not about flavor though, it's about not having to get sick. Unless you like being sick, I wouldn't fuss about the taste.

I have not tried any other forms of Vitamin C besides Calcium Ascorbate and Ascorbic Acid since I didn't find them in my local health food store. If anybody has tried any other forms such as Potassium Ascorbate or Sodium Ascorbate, let me know how they are (send me an email or leave a comment). Supposedly, Sodium Ascorbate is the best alternative form to take. I will try it out in the future and see how it works out. Maybe it tastes better too!

Also, use powdered form and not pills or tablets. The reason I prefer powder is because you get a lot more Vitamin C for what you pay and it is easier to take a powdered form when you're taking large quantities of Vitamin C. One teaspoon of Vitamin C Powder equals to about 5-10 pills of Vitamin C; that's a lot of pills. Oh and by the way, don't eat the powder; mix it in water and dissolve it. :)

To get quality Vitamin C powder, you will usually have to buy it at a health food store or purchase it online. I recommend buying the largest bottle of powdered Vitamin C (or acorbate) you can find at your local health food store since you're going to need a lot of Vitamin C. The last thing you want is to have to abruptly stop the Flu Cure because you ran out of Vitamin C. I also recommend keeping a bottle handy, even when you're healthy, so that when you start feeling sick, you can start the Flu Cure right away.

In summary, when you start feeling symptoms, you take 8,000 mg every 20 minutes until bowel tolerance. After that, you take 4,000 mg every 4-6 hours for 10 days. Be sure to drink enough water and not to have anything sugary when taking Vitamin C since sugar competes with Vitamin C in your body.

If enough people find out about this, then maybe nobody will have to worry about any pandemic flu (like swine flu) and get dangerous flu shots filled with mercury.

Special thanks to the Vitamin C Foundation for providing information on Vitamin C's wonderful properties including its ability to cure viral infections. Click here to find out more about the Flu Cure method as well as Vitamin C in general.

Update: Calcium Ascorbate works well on me, but everyone is different. I've heard recommendations against Calcium Ascorbate for long term ingestion outside of the Flu Cure (taking large amounts of Vitamin C for months or years at a time). If you only take Vitamin C to cure your cold or minor flu, then you should be fine. However, I strongly discourage you from taking Calcium Ascorbate if you have elevated calcium levels in the blood. The elderly should probably avoid Calcium Ascorbate as well. I am planning to try out Sodium Ascorbate in the future, and post my results on that.

Raw crush garlic can achieve the same result.

I found it easier than Vitamin C tablets, although more stinky ;)

All I do with the first onset of any cold/flu symptom is to slap on a piece of toast some butter and 1/2 a crushed clove of (has to be crushed) garlic. I repeat this a few times in the night if the symptoms are quite bad, next morning symptoms are usually gone.

I guess for me I am more sceptical of vitamins, but with the raw Gallic, I know it's pretty pure being in it's raw state and that's why I prefer it :)
